You need to set yourself up to succeed. If you are not buying healthy foods, you will not be eating healthy and losing the weight you desire. Eating healthy is slightly more expensive and it takes a little bit of planning and extra work. If you need to, throw out all the unhealthy snack foods in your home. If your kids aren't going to miss them, dump them in the trash - or give to your neighbor :o) If you cannot trust yourself to have sweets in the home for your children, ask a neighbor if they can be stored at their house for the time being.
For me, it is easy to hard boil 18 eggs and stick them in my fridge for a quick, even on the run, snack.
Fruit is important to have on hand, especially if your goal is to get off refined sugars. I love sweets, especially after I eat a meal. I have found that if I ate a piece of fruit, that satisfied my sugar craving.
If you don't mind veggies, buy what you will eat. If it is something that needs to be cooked (asparagus, brussel sprouts) cook it when you get home from the store and place in fridge.
Buy some boneless skinless chicken and boil it in large amounts. Place in fridge.
Salad is a great way to fill up and keep you full. I love to get a big bowl of greens, top it with grilled chicken, feta cheese, nuts & craisins, & some Kraft Italian free dressing.
You need to set yourself up to succeed. You can't just expect to get to be the way you want with no effort on your part. Take the precious time out of your busy schedule for you.

Thank you! That list is GREAT! I had no idea where to start! Awesome!
I agree! The better prepared you are the most likely you will stay on tract. Great suggestions!
Okay, so this morning I actually cut up an apple to eat, and I LOVED it! Crazy, I know! In the past I always thought I was just too busy running a business, taking care of a family, doing church-work, etc. to prepare healthy food. Then I had this epiphany as I ate vegetable soup for lunch: "If I don't take the time NOW to prepare healthy food and snacks for myself, I will be dead earlier than perhaps I could have been. THEN I won't have ANY time at all to be busy doing those things I want to do." Does that even remotely make sense?
Thanks for the ideas! Grocery store is on the agenda for tomorrow a.m.
OK i need to have more self control. is there a place where we can chat and get ideas to each other?
I don't know. I will do a post to see
