It's Okay

I think what we have to keep in mind, is that this is a life style change. We are not going to go back to our old ways once this is done. You need to look at this as life how it is now.

If you have a party, and would really like a taste of something sweet ... partake! But try to discipline yourself to a small portion, just as Damsel Fly did. She allowed herself to have something sweet; however, she stopped there. She stopped sooner than she probably would have last month.

Today, I went and took a class with my dad, brother and sister-in-law. It was a long class. We were hungry. I came prepared with my food, but everyone was so hungry, I would've felt very guilty eating in front of them. So, I held out. When the class was over, my father treated us to lunch. My brother chose Burger King. Blast! I love Whoppers. So you know what? I ordered one and didn't feel bad about it. Sure, inside I was really feeling guilt and terrible the whole time, but I think we just need to let ourselves have a little snack here and there ... a snack from our past life. I did not get a soda and I did not get fries. I drank a vitamin water, and thoroughly enjoyed that hamburger. I was very careful with my eating the rest of the day, though.

Greasy Butterfly allows herself one treat a week, on Sunday's. I think that is a wonderful idea! She looks forward to that sweet. Does she overdo it? No way. She keeps it small, but she enjoys it and doesn't feel guilt over it.

I think if you are really trying and limiting yourself most of the time, sweets once in a while are fine. Sure, you will still have points deducted, but ease up a little bit once in a while.

However, this is not permission and a free for all to stop what you have started. There is still a no sugar policy. And no soda.

Stay strong.

I know you can do this!!!
